Playing cards are considered to be a symbolic manipulative in the math world. Often they are used to play certain card games with such as rummy, crazy eights, "31", and black jack. Throughout the week, we played cards often! Some games the numbers have no value, but the symbols are most important (crazy eights) and in other games the number has a value that affects the game and score. ("31").
